In collaboration with our partner, Develop Africa, we were able to support teachers' salaries and training workshops to support them in their efforts to make a difference for youth in their communities.
Kamawornie Nursery School Teachers' Training
Ubuntu For Humanity was honored to partner with Develop Africa by sponsoring teachers’ training sessions with a Ministry of Education official and a local expert to equip early childhood educators with the knowledge and skills to engage students at the Kamawornie Nursery School in Sierra Leone. These trainings aimed to enhance understanding of early childhood brain development, promote the use of local learning materials, integrate literacy and numeracy in preschool routines, and involve parents and the community, as well as foster positive guidance and conflict resolution among children. Thank you, Develop Africa, for such workshops that are essential to support our teachers’ inspiring efforts as they nurture tomorrow’s changemakers.
